My first encounter with Out of Africa Junior Modelling School was by chance as I went to the studio with my niece Lisa Mjali to enquire generally about their photoshoot packages. But I got more than I expected from that visit. We ended up spending an hour there with the very enthusiastic crew learning about everything from the modelling school to their vision for the studio, etc. Needless to say, I signed my niece up the very next day.
What an exciting journey it has been! There is nothing she looks forward to than modelling. The sessions are very informative and extend far beyond just taking photos. What I have learnt to appreciate more is how well she has been taught to understand modelling as something deeper than runway shows and
making money.
Out of Africa is more like a club that educates young girls on social skills, career paths and interpersonal relationships...
